To find our answer we need to collect the terms of the expression.

[tex]9xy + 6xy - 2xy = \\ 15xy - 2xy = \\ 13xy[/tex]

The coefficient (which is the number just before the variable) of the simplified expression is 13.

13xy is the answer. THey are all like terms so just add then subtract.
