The early state of Axum gave rise to the modern state of Ethiopia. The Ethiopian region extending from East Africa to the Upper Egypt and was settled during early Palaeolithic period. Climatic change as a result, so the different tribes of Ethiopia were forced to live in the savannas surrounding the Nile.
