Distance formula : 

d = √(x₂-x₁)² + (y₂-y₁)²

Simply plug in the values.

d = √(6 - 2)² + (8 - 5)²

Simplify.

d = √(4)² + (3)²

Simplify.

d = √16 + 9

Simplify.

d = √25

So, the distance is 5
