point 1 (0,-6) and point 2 (9,-3)

the equation is

[tex]y-y1=m(x-x1)[/tex]

where m =

[tex]m=\frac{y2-y1}{x2-x1}=\frac{-3-(-6)}{9-0}=\frac{-3+6}{9}=\frac{3}{9}=\frac{1}{3}[/tex]

answer: the equation of the line is

[tex]\begin{gathered} y-(-6)=\frac{1}{3}(x-0) \\ y+6=\frac{1}{3}x \\ y+6-6=\frac{1}{3}x-6 \\ y=\frac{1}{3}x-6 \end{gathered}[/tex]
