• 45x²-17x-6

Let's calculate delta :

a = 45 ; b= -17 ; -6

∆= b²-4ac

∆= (-17)²-4(45)(-6)

∆= 289 + 1080

∆= 1369

√∆= √1369

√∆= 37

Find x :

x' = (-b-√∆)/2

x' = -(-17-37)/2

x' = -(-54)/2

x' = 54/2

x' = 27

x'' = (-b+√∆)/2

x'' = -(-17+37)/2

x'' = -(20)/2

x'' = -20/2

x'' = -10

S= {-10 ; 27}
