I believe the answer is: curiosity
Curiosity is what drive humans to explore unknown possibilities in science which lead to the development of several inventions. With curiosity, human consistently managed to make problems that perceived as 'hard' in the past become extremely easy to solve (For example pox, communication across continents, etc)
